Yarn – Lily Sugar ’n Cream Worsted #4 ~ 100% cotton, 95 yds, 88 m, 56.7 g, 2 ozs. Washcloth was worked using color #02710 Peace
Materials- H 5mm Crochet Hook
Difficulty – Beginner
Measurements in Pattern – 10″ X 10″ with border

Stitch Guide in American Terms:
Ch/chs = chain/chains
Dc = double crochet
Rep – repeat as indicated
Sc = single crochet
Sl st = slip stitch
Sp/sps = space/spaces
St/sts = stitch/stitches
Shell – In indicated st work 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc
Pattern Notes: Chains at beginning of rows count as stitch (ch 1 = sc, ch 3 = dc, ch 4 = dc + ch 1)
Ch 29, turn and sc in 2nd ch from hook and each st across, ch 1 turn (28 sts)
Row 1: Sc in st by hook, * ch 3, skip next 3 ch, 1 sc in next ch *, rep from to across, ch 3 turn.
Row 2: 4 dc in next ch-3 sp, * ch 1, 1 dc in next ch-3 sp, ch 1, 4 dc in next ch-3 sp *, rep from to across, 1 dc in last sc, ch 1 turn.
Row 3: 1 sc in first st, ch 3, * 1 sc in next ch-1 space, ch 3 *, rep from to across, ending with 1 sc in top of turn ch, Ch 4 (counts as dc, ch 1), turn.
Row 4: 1 dc in next ch-3 space, ch 1, * 4 dc in next ch-3 space, ch 1, 1 dc in next ch-3 space, ch 1 *, rep from to across, 1 dc in last sc, Ch 1 turn.
Row 5: 1 sc in first dc, skip next ch-1 space, * ch 3, sc in next ch-1 space, * rep from to across, ending with last sc in 3rd ch of turning ch, turn.
